Opened in 2011, studio b currently offers private and semi-private Pilates and personal training sessions with use of a full complement of large Pilates equipment, including a Cadillac, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, and 2 Reformers with all available accessories. TRX straps, stability balls, mats, weights, and other small equipment are also provided.

Pilates is a method of exercise developed by German-born Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. Pilates exercises focus on postural symmetry, breath control, abdominal strength, spine, pelvis and shoulder stabilization, muscular flexibility, joint mobility and strengthening through the complete range of motion of all joints. Instead of isolating muscle groups, the whole body is trained, integrating the upper and lower extremities with the trunk.

Private 50-minute sessions are tailored to the specific needs of the individual client. A mix of large and small equipment is usually used.


Single Session $75

10-session Package $650


A semI-private 50-minute training session is shared between two (or, on a case by case basis, more) people.     


Single Session $55 per person

10-session Package $450 per person

What does the “b” stand for?

Lauren Gotlieb, founder and owner, has been active in the fitness industry for over 30 years teaching fitness classes and directing group exercise and cycle programs at leading fitness clubs in the USA, Canada, and France.
Lauren's training and certifications include Total Barre, Johnny G. Spinning Instructor, Stott Instructor, Can Fit Pro Fitness Instructor Specialist, Resist-A-Ball C.O.R.E. Instructor, Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness Specialist, ACE Personal Trainer, ACE Group Fitness Instructor, Pilates Evolved Instructor, Group Power and Group Groove Instructor. She has run the Paris, Toronto, Richmond and Boston marathons, choreographed flashmob dances for Williamstown's Sundays @ Six, participated in several triathlons in and around the Berkshire and helped form the Williamstown Triathlon Club..
